Results of the XII all-Russian student contest on electronics
22-24 April 2014 on the basis of National research Tomsk Polytechnic University held the XII all-Russian student contest on electronics. A team of students of our Institute, consisting of Konstantin Kiselyov (PE-10), Mikhail Kuznetsova, Konstantin Rubin and Stanislav Oskovskogo (PE-13m) took the III place in the team standings, and Konstantin Kiselev scored in the individual competition, taking the II place and ahead of students from leading universities in the field of industrial electronics enrolled programme of elite technical education.
The Olympiad consisted of two tours: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical round, the participants were given three hours to solve six tasks from all areas of industrial electronics, from the basics of the theory of circuits to microprocessor technology. The jury particularly noted the original approach of our students to the task of power electronics, the aim was not to simple application of standard formulas, and the drawing up of fundamental energy relations.
In the practice round. it was proposed to synthesize and assemble a circuit for digital chips TTL, which implements a "running light" along a predetermined path. Our student, Konstantin Kiselev, behind the winner just 4 minutes, more than twice ahead of all the other participants of the Olympiad.
